Fujitsu-Siemes laptop Amilo Pa-1538, Windows Vista Home Premium:

Using Windows Update Automatic Update right after connecting to 'net for the
first time, it installs the following updates:

KB938194
KB937608
KB929123
KB932471
KB934391
KB930178
KB938123
KB933360
KB936824
KB936644
KB929399
KB935807
KB936782
KB936021
KB935280
KB936646
KB929916
KB934062
KB936825
KB905866
KB933579
KB937077
KB934393
KB937143
KB890830
KB938127
KB931213
KB934173
KB925902
KB932080
KB936509
KB936514
KB936960
KB939159

As as result, computer performance drops significantly and apparently also
the display driver starts hanging after every 5-10 minutes (shuts display and
reports "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully
recovered")

Any great ideas to solve this one quickly?

Re: Updates slow Vista down

You should'nt update drivers from MSUpdate.
Roll back the driver updates, particularly display driver

Re: Updates slow Vista down

"Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered"
is an nVidia driver issue and widely discussed at http://forums.nvidia.com/
and elsewhere.

Thanks for the pointer, too bad that board has a non-working search.

Please also note that the first patch on the list, KB938194, is the one
that, according to KB article, should address this very problem...
