Hi

How can I accomplish subject ?


Tried the Remote Shut Down freeware but getting the error "maybe you have no
administrative rights for the selected computer, but I'm in the admin group
on the remote server...

can anyone assist ?

Instead of using some questionable freeware shutdown program,
use the inbuilt shutdown.exe. It has a switch to shut down remote
machines.

can you ellaborate ?

I'm on a XP machine and would like to restart a server named Webserver1
running windows 2003

So I fire up a command window on the XP box and type...?

- Click Start / Run / cmd {OK}
- Type this command:
shutdown /? {Enter}
