IIS 7.0 - the number one reason customers want Windows Server 2008

I thought I would pass this along. I found it interesting since I will use Windows Server 2008 for other reason. IIS 7 being low on the list.

According to a survey conducted by InformationWeek, IIS 7.0 is the feature that most interests customers in Windows Server 2008.

Needless to say, there is a lot of great technology coming out in Windows Server 2008, which is why it is one of the most eagerly anticipated products in Microsoft history. But, its great to know that IIS 7.0 is a top feature that customers look to in the release.

I got windows 2008 for IIS 7 only

PHP is more stable and running faster on 2008 with IIS7, than 2000 IIS5 & 2003 IIS6

IIS7 is also modular you can add and remove components as needed. In fact it has a much better security. Very quickly it is gaining on market share over Apache.
