Hi all,

I'm very new to servers but I have managed to install Windows Server 2008. After installing AD Domain Service, DNS and DHCP where I set a statistic IP address for the server I cannot connect to internet.

What info do You need to help me other then below?

The following is the output when I used the command ipconfig:

Windows IP Configuration

(I use the xx to limit the information).

When I ping I got the following output:
C:\Users\Administrator.SERVER>ping 192.168.xx.xx
(The IP addres for the computer)
Pinging 192.168.xx.xx with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 192.168.xx.xx: bytes=32 timeping microsoft.com
Ping request could not find host microsoft.com. Please check the name and try again.

Thanks in advance,
Dennis

Thanks for Your comment.

Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 0.0.0.0 192.168.xx.xx

I noticed that but as we can see it is actually two IP address:confused:
I have been trying to locate the 0.0.0.0 but I cannot find where to update it / remove it.

Thanks.

OK, I finally managed to solve the issue. From a command prompt I executed the netsh int ip reset command and added again the static IP. Next I disable IPv6 and rebooted. Voila! The connection worked ;)
