Hi everyone, :-)
It turns out that I have a server with SBS2008 Premium, and will not let me modify the GPO, no, not the domain controller or domain. Explaining the details below:
From the SBS console, there are a couple of shortcuts where you can change the lifetime of the passwords as well, and altered the dialog SBS confirms that the changes are ok. When I go to the tab of any user, on the expiration date of the password changes are reflected correctly. But if I go to the gpmc that the value in the directive continues to 180 (in default installation). That is a strange and contradictory, but only one more fact, solving this mystery would not matter here.
When I go directly to the Group Policy Editor, from administrative tools using the domain administrator account, and clicking 'run as administrator ", I object to any directive, double click to change the value, make changes ( as simple as enabling or non-configured), to accept the dialog appears the following error message: the data buffer in the points of analysis are not valid. And though the changes are in gpmc, if I leave and enter gpmc to see that the changes are not saved.
If I go to the XML file in sysvol, edit with Notepad and change any values, including the lifetime of the password when trying to record is an error as I have no permissions. But in that same folder YES I can create any other files and / or folder. If you ask properties file and folder where the xml directives that attempt to modify the admin account is listed as total control, even in acknowledging and effective permissions.
I have seen more people in other forums with this problem, but also with W2008 I have not seen that anyone here has been resolved.
-I have also tried to stop the service filtering files, if they had gone mad ... and the Live OneCare and the firewall .. without success.

Any ideas?
Thank you very much in advance. :-)
