First off, let me start by saying i have very limited Server experience.
Recently, my company decided to get a trial copy of Server 2008 and Exchange to use with one of our software for testing before deploying it. I did a trial and error thing and got the domain up and user groups running, i familiarized myself with the server(thanks to windows server 2008: beginner's guide) and now i decided to start all over again to get a "cleaner" configuration i guess.
However, my old domain is now still in use. I formatted the server but the domain name "MOLS" is now in use still? I tried entering this during dcpromo at the NetBIOS domain name screen , any idea how i can remove it? I don't mind using a different name but i would still like to know if it is possible to completely remove the name.
