Active Directory - Roaming Profile Settings...?

I have set up the active directory, pointed the dns of the win xp machine to the win server and set all the user folder rights, however, when the user logs into their profile, the theme changes to classic view, there are no programs in the recently used part under the start menu, the clock isn't displayed and you can't change the wallpaper. When I log off none of the changes to the theme are saved.

I am also having the exact same problem with another separate network running win server 2003. with this network, all new profiles created are like this, but the ones I have already set up are fine.

What do I need to change to make the profile work?

hi,
Have u set profile path for users?
it must be network path in the UNC format.
And before using roaming profile , all local profiles on all client Pc's must be deleted.
