Hi There,
We have a 2008 standard server and all is well except that we can't ping the hostname. The ip address is 192.168.0.110 on ip4. If I have ipv6 enabled all i get is 4 x replies from a mac address fe80::a47d:38c: etc. if I diasble ipv6 then all i get is 4 x a replies from ::1:
The preferred dns on ipv4 is set to 192.168.0.110 and the dns server is running....
We have also noted that unfortunately the server has the server domain name of "domainname.co.uk" rather than "domainname.local"
It looks like it is still a nightmare to rename the domain therefore is it possible make changes to the dns settings of this server to address this...?
Many thanks
