Windows Firewall Not Starting

hi guys, need your help again. while trying to restart the windows firewall service, got this error message:

error 1079: the account specified for this service is different from the account specified for the other services running in the same process

any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Are the Windows Firewall service and the Base Filtering Service set to use the Local Service account?

hi matt, yes the windows firewall service and the base filtering service are set to local service account..

I just edited the MpssVc registry, but still doesn't work. It shows a new error:

Windows could not start the windows firewall on local computer.
for more information, review the system event lof. if this is a
non-microsoft service, contact the service vendor, and refer to
service-specific errror code 5

Had tried also SFC /scannow but still unable to start the service.

any ideas? please help.. Thanks.. :thumbsup:
