Windows Server Backup Failing

trying to do a full backup of a Win 2008 64bit server. The backup fails with the following two error (both are VSS Event ID 8193) :


Volume Shadow Copy Service error: Unexpected error calling routine XML document is too long. hr = 0x80070018, The program issued a command but the command length is incorrect.

Backup is to NAS device. I can backup a specific folder but not bare metal or system state.

Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated.

I have the same problem and in "vssadmin list writers" there isn't System Writer that i think is the cause.
Has you solved?
