Greetings,
My organization currently has a bidirectional, external trust established with another domain NOT in our forest. Both domains are running a mix of Server 2000 and Server 2003. Later this year, both domains plan on upgrading all of their domain controllers to Server 2008. We understand in order to upgrade the 2000 DC's we have to first upgrade them to 2003 and then to 2008.
So my question is, from a 2000>2003 and ultimately 2008 upgrade, will this destroy the external trusts on these domain controllers or will the trust remain after the upgrade? Again, these domains are not in the same forest.
Thanks.
