Do I have a weird one for you guys!
We have a 2008 terminal server where we remap C to N and then use a subst command via a login script to map the users personal folder to c:
Basically due to some bespoke software that requires user-specific data on a C: drive.
This is something we've never had an issue with in 2003/2000 but with 2008 something weird is happening.
Intermittently it works beautifully, it's visible in explorer, the right folder, everything and then there are times when c: doesn't appear in explorer.
Any yet... subst thinks its substituted and the apps that rely on the c drive data are working fine. It just appears not to be visible
This happens on the two test users we've made and both users have the same symptoms.
So...
It appears that the drive does actually substitute all the time it's just that around 50% of the time it's not visible via explorer.
Any ideas?
