Hi
We have a setup of 100 machines and 1 server in our organization. almost 95 machines are windows XP and other 5 are Win 7 laptops which the management uses. Windows server 2008 R2 acts as a domain controller for all these 100 machines.
I have this problem that most of the policies in the GPOs do not support Windows XP, even the ones which support windows XP (like setting DNS entries, running logon scripts, setting desktop shortcuts, etc.) do not work at all.
When i do RSOP.msc on the client machines it shows all the policies including any batch files lsisted in the GPO, however it doesnt run the batch file neither does it apply the DNS settings.
(Please note the server 2008 R2 was installed by a colleague, and he has left the company already, so, I have no option but to fix the mess)
Kindly help.
Regards
