Hi,
I have a W2K8 R2 Foundation with AD. (it is on a HP ML110 G6 - X3450, 8GB, 120 GB SSD system drive, 3x 2TB samsung, 1x500 WD for backups). The domain works like a charm and my workstations can all connect properly without any problems. Even my Sharepoint Foundation 2010 works fine. My questions are the following:
1. I want to automaticly add shares to my workstation (i have 5 that i want to add automaticly). I have tried to do this using the GPO but have not managed it thus far. Does someone have any tips for this problem?
2. I want to acces two of my (smb) shares from outside the domain using a NMT (network mediatank, in my case the Xtreamer). I have setup a nfs share that the NMT can acces but it is just sooo slow. All the video and audioformats i want to play stutter. I have managed to logon to the server using the NMT but still the image sometimes stutters. If i play a file from a W7 system (using the standard smb share) my video's all play fine! So i want to acces the created smb shares of the server outside the domain. Is this possible?
Regards
