2008 New Domain

Currently building a new 2008 domain, I still have a 2003 domain which will remain active, but I will be migrating some users to the new domain. I am also allowing new applications to be installed/built in the new domain. What are some things I should consider before allowing people to install new apps in the domain. I need to know if there are any dependencies on the old domain, group memberships, etc.

So there will be an assessment period, any one know if there are templates available for this?

I don't know if I've understood your question... but if you want to auto-install software from DC (I assume with domain policies), there's nothing different from 2k3. Even if you want to use old or new domain.
