First Win Server 2008 Server In Domain

I have a windows server 2003 network with two domain controllers. I have installed the first windows server 2008 server but I have not joined the domain yet. Should I run forestprep or dcprep before joining the 2008 server to the domain. The 2008 server will not be a domain controller.

not sure what you mean. The domain and forest functional levels are win server 2003

YOU DON'T WANT TO RUN DC ON WIN 2k8 RIGHT? If you just need to JOIN like a workstation, you don't need anything else
