Modify Server Core To Full Installation

I am running Windows Server 2008 Server Core I am thinking of upgrading to full installation 32 bit. Can I just upgrade or do I do a clean install? It is my thoughts that you can not just upgrade or modify the Server Core to Full installation that you have to do a complete clean install. And if I do a clean install all of the information in the Server Core will be lost correct. Thank you for all replies in advance. Codin

There is no upgrade path from core to a full installation; you must do a clean install. Information that you can't export to other locations would be lost.
