Gpo To Deploy Shares?

Hello,

We've been using a script to deploy network shares, its proving cumbersome. How do I deploy SMB Shares via GPO? say \\server1\companyfiles will be shared to accounting or whomever

It's quite easy, open GPO:

User Configuration > Preferences > Windows Settings > Drive Maps

There you can create a new share, let's say: \\MyServer\ShareName if you want to map the personal folder, simply use variables: \\MyShare\%username%
