Adding Windows 2008 To A Windows 2008 Domain

So I recently started a new virtual server cluster, including two DCs, an IIS server and a File share server. First three flew through the installs perfectly, but I cannot add the fourth one to the domain. I have tried everything I can think of, changing the computer name and description, pinging the DCs, changing the DNS server entry and the DNS order, removing and adding the IIS server from the domain to ensure the DC is valid, yet nothing seems to work properly. The DCs are working, the IIS server can add and remove fine, yet the file sharing server just keeps failing on the authorization to join the domain. I have run out of ideas and am reaching out to the community in hopes someone has fought with this before and won. My only other resort is to rebuild the server, which is possible but I do not want to spend six hours doing windows updates again.

The error is "The following error occuredattempting to join the domain 'DOMAIN':

An attempt to resolve the DNS name of a domain controller in the domain being joined has failed. Please verify this client is configured to reach a DNS server that can resolve DNS names in the target domain. For more information...

I have pinged the DNS server with success, and it is the only nameserver configured. I have internet on the server, so the DNS does resolve, and it has forward lookup zones for both the DC and DC2.

Open this file with notepad:

C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\ETC\hosts

and add the following line:

IP_DNS_SERVER YOUR_DNS

Retry.
