Hello

I have a Windows Small Business Server 2008 with an Viewcast OSPREY100 video card installed. The server is a Fujistu Siemens TX100 S1.

Ive installed BroadCam Live Video Streaming but i cannot see the video. I tried others but the problem remains.

When i access to the software it does not show anything neither the software bars that indicate that video is not present.

Ive contacted Viewcast that says that everything should work ok but recently they said to me that probably some component that is intended to be installed by default is missing but they dont gave me any specific solution.

I tried the the same set of OSPREY100 and BroadCam Live Video Streaming in a Windows 7 machine and it worked really fine.

I am now a bit without any other ideas to solve this.

Ive installed the desktop experience in server but it does not solve the problem.

Ive installed a new card FX Quadro 1400 with DirectX support but the problem remains.

Does anyone has any idea?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards

Hello

Really thanks for your kind work

I will try this solution tomorow.

I am trying to be me clear about my problem:

I am trying to capture a video signal from a simple door camera.

I have a RCA cable connected to a video capture card VIEWCAST OSPREY 100 that is inserted in my Windows 2008 SBS SP2 (FUJISTU SIEMENS TX100 S1).

I've installed a software tol stream the video over the local network(BroadCam Streaming Video Server) but i cant see the image neither locally neither in remote pc's. It has a beaviour that lets me to think that misses something in operating system to allow it.

I tried exacly the same card and the same software in WINDOWS 7 and i can see the video locally in computer and strem over network.

I've read some tutorials that i've "goggled" and i tried to install desktop experience, install codecs, latelly i've tried with other graphica card with DIRECTX support but nothing has solve the problem. I tried to install a new graphic card with directx to see if it was some problem with this because the Server has a integrated graphica card with very low specs (ATI ES1000)

I've tried almost everything but till now i was not able to capture video in my Server 2008 SBS.

I read that this operating system seems to be not the best choice to do it but is whta the company has and i must solve this problem.

Really thanks

(keep trying with the tutorial to check if something is blocked)

If you go under DEVICE MANAGER, all the needed hardware is ok or there's something with a yellow question mark?
