I have a program installed on the server that I want 6 client computers to be able to access. The program opens and runs on the server fine and I can access the server to install the program on the client computers and it appears to install fine without any errors but when I try to open the program I get the attached error message. The IT person we use has been through everything he can think of on the server (sharing folders, permissions, etc.) so that the folder should be available and I have also been through everything with the makers of the software and they can't get it to work either. I'm hoping that someone here recognizes what this error message and can direct me to a solution.

4 of the client computers run Windows 7
2 are running Windows XP

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Hi there,

First: Can you access that program from the server itself?
Second: All the clients are on the same network?
Third: Have you any firewall enabled?

The error is quite clear... CANNOT OPEN CONNECTION. The most probable cause, could be a firewall.
