Windows Sbs 2008 Fail To Install

Hi,

I try to install Windows Small Business Server 2008.
When i try that it fails to install i get a error (this error will be in the attachment).

I tried different versions of Windows Small Business Server 2008, these versions i tried:

As u can see they are all from Windows so that should be good i guess?
I am trying to run it in a Virtual Machine with VMware Workstation.
I also tried it with VirtualBox en VirtualPC they give all the same error.

I hope somebody can help me out with this problem.
This problem i have already for a few days that i can't fix.

Are you installing it from CD-ROM?

If yes, please do the followings steps:

Download the installer from MS (it should be an ISO file). Open VmWare or virtual box or virtual pc and install the OS from the ISO directly instead of the CD-ROM.

If this works, you have a (hardware) problem with your CD-ROM drive.

I use the ISO of all versions directly i dont use my CD-ROM drive.
I also runned the test of he found any errors in the ISO but he said he didnt found anything (at every ISO version).

You have the same error on each situation? I mean, if you install on a phisical machine or virtual machine, it doesn't change anything?

Try to remove any un-needed USB.

Try to plug in just your keyboard, mouse and video. Nothing else.

I get the same error in a physical machine and a virtual machine.
I tried to remove every unneeding things like USB and such but the error keeps coming back.

I assume you're installing from cd-rom, try to change your drive...

I tried from installing it from CD-ROM drive and directly from the ISO.
Both give the same error.

Disable your antivirus and download the ISO again.

Maybe your hard drive has a problem...

It will be hard to believe that the problem is at the ISO while i got that problem at 3 different ISO's.
I have tried it with my antivirus (NOD32) disabled and still the same error.

I know... But now the last thing I can say is that you may have a problem related to your motherboard or hard drive... Can you replace them?

I can give it a try to use a other computer.
I will give u a notice on this topic when thats done and the result from it.

I am getting the same error on a other PC.
So i guess it isn't the motherboard or the hard drive.

EDIT:
I am able to install Windows SBS 2003.
I am also able to install Windows Server 2008.

The problem goes at Windows SBS 2008 only.

I have check the prerequisites on this site:

It seems that my laptop can run it though my laptop has:
2.00 GHz
4 GB RAM
Diskspace: 600 GB

My home pc got:
2.66 GHz
2 GB RAM
Diskspace: 500 GB

They seem to be a bit on the minimum but they still should work i guess?
Or is it because i am running it virtual i need more? Sounds logical though..

you have some problem with compatibility, probably with drivers because your error tells you there's something wrong with I/O that is the data flow...

I never installed a server os on a laptop...

It's for a school project.
I need to be able to show it to the school that it all is running.

What is the best thing to do now? So far i checked all drivers are up to date.

It's for Remote Web Workplace, that is only available in a SBS.

I will still keep a eye on this topic though (might somebody has any other idea's or u might come later on a new idea).
