It is a very general question. How does disabling the power management in the BIOS enhance or reduce Windows 2008 R2 performance ? I have read some AnandTech articles on Xeon P and C states but I am not sure how disabling this on a 2P 4C system would somehow enhance the OS's performance thereby enhancing the application software performance.
I would gladly read up on any references.
Thanks.
