Hi there!

I have a server Machine (Win 2008 Ent Version) acting as NAT server. The WAN gate has Public IP.

two Issues i need to Resolve:

1- I cannot Access Remote Desktop.\
2- How i can Port forward from Win 2008 server As i have a DVR Installed on my LAN.

There is no Firewall even disabled the Windows Firewall but no use.

Thanks

Hi,

1) right click COMPUTER > properties > remote settings and then enable the remote desktop.
2) Your server or router must forward the connection. If you turn your server in a router, it's easy, right click the router role and select a new static route.

i beleive port forwariding is done in windows firewall, create a new incomming rule. i could never get it working though.

and for me, setting up a static route didnt let me specify a port.
