I have a server (2008 x64) with an installed application that prints to a printer Generic / Text Only. I want to connect two terminals by RDP to this server. The two PCs that are going to connect remotely has windows 7 x86. This connection already did and that's fine. The problem is the printers. Testing the printing of test page redirected printer, it communicates but nothing comes out on paper. Problem could be drivers? If it is so generic I use the text windows. Another doubt: it may give problems that the printer is installed on the server with the controller and the V64 are x86 pcs?? I try to install the driver for the x86 server but it asks me the files (. Inf) files. How can I add a driver for another platform?? Thank you.

Hi,

First of all make sure that your clients have the latest FRAMEWORK installed, also update RDP client to the latest version (7). Once ok, try again with redirected printers.

When you install a x86 driver on a x64 print server, if your drivers are designed for windows server 2008 x86, you MUST have the i386 folder of Windows Server 2008 x86.

I think the problem arises because of being a generic text only printer. I have other working well, but has own control. From what I read, the text does not give genders may only work for RDP.
