I have recently installed 2008 to use as a learning exercise. I have 2 joystick devices showing in my device window. When I right click to run the calibration program nothing happens. I'm using the administrator account so I'm figuring this has something to do with the security setup. Can someone please tell me how I can get access to this calibration program

Are you sure you have installed the calibration program? During the installation, have you selected "install for all users"?

I'm not sure whether I have installed it. All I did was do a standard install from the downloadable iso file
can you tell me which feature or role I need to install ?

No feature or role, just download the profiler for your game controller (if you tell me the model I can look for it). Usually you can go on the manufacture's website and download it.

I have already done that. I run two joysticks one cyborg evo the other I have made into a set of rudder pedals. I need to calibrate the pedals so they travel the whole distance. With XP I used the calibration program that is installed as part of XP. So I figure that if I could find the name of the software I could just install into 2008 system.
Vista or Windows 7 must have it somewhere. I just don't know the name and searching the net has not given me the answer.

Because Windows Server is not Vista / 7...

Anyway, the CALIBRATION program in XP / VISTA / 7 is auto installed when windows can find the correct program for that device.

That means you must install it manually in Windows Server.
