Hi
I intend to use windows server 2008 as a domain controller. On domain controllers I usually use a static IP address. That was not a problem until now(before I used windows server 2003). When I set the static IP on new installation of windows server 2008 I lose network connectivity. Using diagnose / repair fixes the problem by enabling dhcp on the network adapter which is not what I want. Does anybody has any idea what is the problem and how to solve it? Any advice will be appreciated.
