Microsoft Server 2008 R2 help

Hi all, I am brand new to servers. I recently purchased Microsoft Server 2008 R2 to make files accessible over a network to 2 computers. I'm 15 so I am inexperienced and could use some help. Just some basic how tos like setting a static IP and configuring the server is all I need. Thanks

using a server to share files on 2 pc is not necessary, you can use an external hard drive or another pc aswell.
