Hello All,
I have a question about trying to setup a client computer to connect from a home-based office. Here is our current setup;
Main Server in the Office running Windows Server 2008 R2, it is configured as a Domain Controller and the client computer is connected to the domain while in the office. The network has a Netgear VPN in place. We have shared folders and databases on the server that need to be accessed from either on the road (hotel room) or from a home office.
My question is what do I need to setup in order to have the client computer able to connect from a home office location?
I have tried using Shrewsoft VPN Client software to establish a connection, am I on the right path or is there something on the server that I can setup to make it all work, I am completely new to this and appreciate any help I can get. I have looked into RealVNC but it doesn't appear to be what I am looking for.
Any help??
Thanks!!
