Question About Disk Performance

I post another pic, the thing I noticed is the disk is never higher than 100Mb/s, sometimes lower than 10mb/s

Are these normal numbers or I'm misinterpret something.

Well I want check but 100 mb/s is a good speed. With HDD you can't have too much speed. Even the 100 is not real.

we are reinstalling the server using windows 2008 r2.

the it people will reorganice the storage space and asign disk per servers, (don't know very much the change but will fix most of our performance problems )

Good I think you were using something like a single shared disk which is not really good. Anyway keep in mind that the problem comes out AFTER installing SQL... If you need further help feel free to ask

ICT, we reinstall all, the performance improve a little. Yes the it people explain us that we have a one big disk.

This is not a common "mistake" but it happens. Anyway if you still notice poor performances we can still further investigate.

Yes I think we have a long way to see and discover what really happend. (We cant make magic with our systems if we have poor performance)

I think we have severals points to check and correct.

Remember the anti virus... I had bad experiences with nod32...

Nod32 is active in the server and in every PC.

It has Network disk active to scan (in every pc), but they say us that this is no problem because only scans when a file is open. There isnt a process scanning the network,
but we will disable this option and test.

I dont know how NOD32 works, so we will test this too.
