A server at a customers site slows down a couple of times a day. (Windows
2003 sp2 -sp2 installed hoping to resolve the problem, so the problem
already exists when only sp1 was installed-)

in the beginning of this problem I noticed the following error message in
the servers logfile:

_______________________

Windows saved user DOMEIN\user registry while an application or service was
still using the registry during log off. The memory used by the user's
registry has not been freed. The registry will be unloaded when it is no
longer in use.

This is often caused by services running as a user account, try configuring
the services to run in either the LocalService or NetworkService account.

after this I installed UPHclean from Microsoft. After installing the error
message changed to

_______________________

The following handles in user profile hive DOMEIN\user
(S-1-5-21-1855237096-3015265081-2428853437-1628) have been remapped because
they were preventing the profile from unloading successfully:

lsass.exe (424)

HKCU (0x19c4)

I presume that the error and the slowing down are related but I'm not sure.
(time of slowing down and error logging are always the same)

Is there anything I can do ,,

Thanks
