Why do the menus with Visual Basic always looked recessed from the rest of the form at runtime? Is there anyway to change this? Thanks.

Not quite. Im attaching a picture of what I mean. The bar doesnt look flush with the rest of the form...at least when its run on my computer. My friend sent me a screen shot of it on his computer, and it looks flush (hes running win2k). Im running WinXP Pro. I had WinXP Home on this machine previous, and the menu bar looked the same as it does now to me. Maybe its just normal, but it doesnt seem it to me.

Oh well. If you find any helpful information about it ever, feel free to let me know. I havent really seen this issue (if you can really call it an issue) addressed anywheres.

What do the menus look like (on your XP) in other apps (Word, Access etc.)

As Thinker said, it must be your XP settings (theme)

They look like normal menus in all my other apps. I wonder if anyone else with XP experiences similar headings?

Update:

I just played with my menu settings (in the advanced properties of display stuff), and switched it to gray over white. Looks much better. I would not have expected XP to be set default to white, which apparently makes the menu on this app look "weird." Thanks for your help guys. I should have figured this one out on my own more so. Just where all the other menus I see look "normal," I guess I assumed it wasnt XP settings.

Update:
Thinking Im gonna have to live with it... I rightclicked after making the previous setting, and that entire menu was gray. I put it back to white, and am just gonna live with it, because none of the other optional settings that Ive discovered would affect it.
