Running a external application

I have a third party 32-Bit Command Prompt application that I wish to use the output from within VB.

How can I call the external application and get the results of the output (multiple lines of text) parsed back into Visual Basic for processing?

When you start a process using System.Diagnostics.Process.Start, you have the option of redirecting the standard output.

Alternatively, there is a method ExecWaitWithCapture of the System.CodeDom.Compiler.Executor class which pretty much wraps this behaviour for you.
