Terminal services client disconnects immediately

I have a new terminal server, it is a DC, and a fresh install.

When I try to connect to terminal server from any client, it "blinks" and
disconnects immediately.

There is no timeout delay like would be normal if there was no TS installed
on the server, so some portion of it is working.

Any ideas?

Hi,

What happens if you logon to the console of the DC and
then use the Remote Desktop Client to connect to localhost?

Any errors in the system or application logs of the DC?

Is the DC listening on port 3389? Use netstat -an

Re: Terminal services client disconnects immediately

Tried that already. Connecting from the local machine to itself does the same
thing.
TS is indeed listening on 3389. And no errors in the event log.

RE: Terminal services client disconnects immediately

Well, turns out it was something with the video drivers. Changed to the VGA
driver and suddenly the connection started working.
Thanks for the help

I'm glad you were able to figure it out.

Thanks for posting back.
