.net framework is corrupted on my xp system, but when i go to un install it i get an internal error, Microsoft has an artical about re installing it and i attempted this fix but of course it does not work
it suggests to use the following command line
d:\dotnetframework\dotnetfx.exe /t:c:\temp /c:"msiexec.exe /i c:\temp\netfx.msi REINSTALL=ALL ReinstallMODE=vomus"

But it fails and quits.

Any ideas on how to remove .net framework and re-install a fresh copy ?

Did you try to fix the corrupted files in .NET Framework? This is what I did when something corrupted.

Compare your system files with other PC with installed .NET Framework and try to copy those files over. Of course this is no a proper solution but you can try if no other method.
