Creating and filling a table in Word using COM

I want to create and fill a (non-database) table in word using COM objects. Im new to COM, so could you please post example-code.

Ive never done this before but it should be as simple as adding a reference to the Microsoft Word Object Library. I have done some VBA stuff in Word and found the MSDN to be invaluable. Ill point you to this and if you still need help ask again.

After same hard trying (i would be glad if i could use normal COM objects) i found it out how it works. I use JACOB (Java COM bridge) ... of course i know this isnt a java forum but i found no answers at any java-forum...
