System.Data.OleDb.OleDbException: Could not lock file.

i get this error when i try to access a access db

i added aspnet as a user with full permision on both the program and my server

i tried working with sqlserver and it worked fine but access is no good

What does your connection string look like?

Do you have the database open in Access while testing your website? Access usually holds locks that prevent a normal connection from being made (I think the message is something about exclusive access to the database). Make sure you dont have the database open anywhere, then try again.

Yeah, when you have the structure of a table or a query openned you cant connect it from anywhere.

nothing is open i checked task manager to make sure
still the same error and i am getting it on other databases as well

got it to work i restarted computer and permissions took affect
