All,
I have been tasked with looking into upgrading into ASP.NET from ASP. All has been going well and all looks good except for one thing, the load on the server ASP.NET creates. For example, running three applications, .NET Petshop, IBuyStore and IBuyPortal the aspnet_wp is taking 30MB of ram. I would assume that this is okay if you have a few applications running on one server. However, we have a lot of small ASP applications (> 25). As such, if we upgrade new development would be all ASP.NET and there would be a lot of .NET applications.
Has anyone had any trouble with numerous small applications running on one server? I would like to know how many ASP.NET apps are you running on one server and how much ram is being used by the aspnet_wp process. From what I can tell, this would be the only thing holding us back from upgrading.
Thanks in advance.
Joe
