Connecting to Novell Tree with .NET (VB)

We are currently builing an app in VB.NET to access objects
on our Novell network, and administer them. Weve been studying the Active Directory Services information to make the
connection, but everything we try is not working. Does anyone
have any ideas on how to connect to a Novell Network? My co-worker and I are new to VB.NET, and we are VERY frustrated with this problem!
