Hi

We have a Server 2003 SP1 with Exchange 2003 installed. Is it possible for
me to update it to R2 without having to buy a new licens?

Hello Lasse,

No, R2 is a feature pack which requires an additional license.

Best regards

Pardon my ignorance, but can't you just install SP2 for Server 2003?
No extra licence, similar functionality to R2.

RE: Update Windows Server 2003 SP1 to R2

Hello Newell,

Sorry, thats not right. SP2 are just all the patches combined until the
release date. R2 adds additional features like the new DFS, File Resource
management etc.
