Pls. I need urgent help!!
I have two Windows 2003 SP2 terminal server running.
Unfortunately these servers do no longer receive licenses from the terminal
service license server. We have AD in place and Terminal servers and the
license server are in another subnet. Connection works on technical base
(TCP/IP ok, authority ok and all these stuff) As I open the terminal server
license consol and try to connect to license server manually I receive the
message, that there is no valid license server availabel in workgroup or
Domain. The license server itself response, but not the service. (Server is
not a valid license server).

I have no idea what to do
reinstall terminal service had not worked.
My colleages who were responsible for the license server said, that
everything is fine on that server.

Can anyone help??

Thanks in advance

Re: Windows 2003 Terminal server cannot connect to license server

Does the Licensing Server also run 2003?

Try pointing the TS to the LS:

279561 - How to Override the License Server Discovery Process in
Windows Server 2003 Terminal Services
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=279561

You can also configure this in the Terminal Services Configuration
tool or in a GPO.

Re: Windows 2003 Terminal server cannot connect to license server

Thanks for your response.
Yes, I did it, but with no success.

The server itself could be found, but not as a valid license server.
