MessageBox for dummies

I know Ill sound stupid on this one, but I cant seem to find how can I use a MessageBox (or anything like it) in ASP.NET. I just want to display a error message when the connection fails.

Can you give me some clues ? A link to a good online doc (on general ASP.NET programming) would also be apreciated.

You can only do it in JavaScript or VBScript.

You can use RegisterClientScriptBlock or use Response.Write to display alert
