listbox, textbox control transparent?

Anyway of making the listbox or textbox controls backcolor = transparent? I tried setting it in properties but it says it isnt supported. Any way around that?

Maybe i can simplify what im saying
I have a listbox on a form
the form has an image on it
i would like the image to show through the listbox

is this possible?

Im 99.99% sure it isnt, it says its not supported so i dont think so. I tried it as well.

If you change the TransperancyKey for the form, to transperant, it has the effect of wiping the background of the listbox & although the text is still visible, so is anything that happens to be behind the form, debug window, desktop etc.
