Anyone ever seen this before.
During the middle of day Friday, started getting this message. ASP.Net simply will not run on the pc. Have tried resetting rights to the ASPNET user, tried impersonating a user and resetting its rights. I get the following error in the event viewer:
"DCOM got error "Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password. " and was unable to logon .\IWAM_DEVELOPMENT in order to run the server:"
IWAM was listed in Guests, I moved it to Administrators, no effect. It has full control on the windows 2000 pro PC I am running this on. Also have this error:
"aspnet_wp.exe could not be started. The error code for the failure is 80004005. This error can be caused when the worker process account has insufficient rights to read the .NET Framework files. Please ensure that the .NET Framework is correctly installed and that the ACLs on the installation directory allow access to the configured account. "
Looked up the error code and it talks about rights to ODBC, made the changes they said to make, no effect.
