I just want to confirm if its true that there is NO WAY to have stored procs in mysql..
and can you use sql server 2000 with php and everything would be ok? or should you work with asp.net?

My understanding is that MySQL does not support stored procedures (yet). If you want stored procedures you need to use Oracle or SQL Server. You should probably use ASP.NET if youre working with SQL Server.
