How could I count no of Lines in a file , sentences in a file , words in a file , etc

i guess u need to open a streamreader on a file,
do a while loop, like while reader.read this reads a character , now u should have a counter to check for the number of characters read.

Regular expressions are best suited for these type of problems. You can use the RegEx class
