Free E-Mail Providers

Guys, do u know of any free email providers that let you have more than 10 MB space?

I tried www.mail.com , i get 10 MB and a personalized email domain thing for free:
thepentiumguy@programmer.net <-- note the .net

do you ppl know of anything else that gives you more space??

Yeah, use an e-mail client and not web based mail. Outlook Express, Eudora, whatever. That way all your mail is stashed on your HD and you dont have to worry about space.

what if someone sends me a virus?
then, my HD would be.. gone (

so, can i create my own.. email, like thepentiumguy@myname.com
without paying, while using an email client?

You should see how much it costs to get an e-mail address from your ISP, and its usually pretty cheap. More reliable too. I think mine is $4.99 a month or something from my ISP.

i think it comes free with Verizon..
so does that mean, i can get ANY email name i want?

If you want your own domain youll have to register it (usually costs around $8/year). You should call your ISP and see what they offer in terms of providing e-mail for your own domain name. I bet youll have to pay for hosting too though.

You wont get a virus unless you actually open the attachment. Even so, you should be backing up your HD periodically anyway.
