So - the car has been transported to Lincolnshire and stripped down to the chassis level. Now to sand-blast the cassis and suspension components and get them coated...to prevent any of this nasty rust coming back.

I just recently wet-sanded one of my 79 Mazda RX-7s. Its certainly cheaper to do it by hand, but quite a bit more work. Now I just need to flare out the rear fenders and slap on a base coat before winter hits.

The sooner you get the metal covered up the better.
(Flared fender - that is what us old timers would call a bumper? My bumpers both need rechroming but that is a very expensive business so thatll probably be the last job... )
