Upload a file from local hard drive to remote server

How do I upload a file from local hard drive to remote server, via FTP or otherwise that has username/password authentication, in Visual Basic .NET? I am seriously having the hardest time trying to find any documentation/tutorials on this subject...Thank you in advance.
