hows everybody doing?
this is my first time me being here & im happy to be here with you all,
id like to start programming pc games and frankly i dont know where to start.im learning c++ and i dont know if its gonna do me good or not.ive searched till i found this place and i hope you can help me.you know,like where to start from or what kind of books i should read?

i appreciate any help,and hope we can accomplish somthing through this forum.:D
 
Start with something simple, like Pong and then work up from there. Think and plan how you could do each part, and design several mathods for doing this - then pick the best. Design b4 code.
 
Also if you check out the VB6 sister site, they have a special game forum. They wouldnt be able to help you with coding - but have a look through previous threads and see the responses to the hundreds of times that question has already been asked. That is probably your best solution for the mean time.
 
thank you jay1b and im sorry im late to reply but its hard for me to get access on line.

id like to tell you im still at the very beginning of programming and i think i need guidness but im trying my best.
